Time-Based One-Time Passwords Solution For Horizon VPN Users
Step 1: Download and Install “Microsoft Authenticator” App on your phone
Step 2: Notify IT once you have the Microsoft authenticator on your phone and ready for the setup
Step 3: IT enables time-based on-time password for your login. Note: at this point you will not be able to connect via VPN until you finish Step 4
Step 4: User pair the Microsoft Authenticator App with your login. Note: this step can only be done from home or outside of Horizon network.
Step 5: Enable VPN connection with the authentication code from your phone

Step 4: User pairs the Microsoft Authenticator App with your login
Note: This step can only be done from a computer at home or outside of Horizon network
Login into https://hd.horizondistributors.com:4433
Username: your windows login name (for example henryw)
Password: your login password
Domain name: LocalDomain or horizon
(This site can be used using the same steps if you are in the office without access to an outside network https://firewall.horizon.com:4433/sslvpnLogin.html )
- After entering your username & password you will be prompted with a QR Code and an emergency scratch code

Open Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone, select “ I agree” , “Scan QR code” and Enable Access the Camera to scan the bar code shows on your computer screen.
- Once the QR code is scanned, the app will display a 6-digit One-time Password
- Go back to Step 2-4, On the computer screen, enter the 6-digit obtain from Microsoft Authenticator App select OK to continue
- Select “Click here to continue ...”
7 select “Logout” on the Virtual Office Page to finish your setup.
